Guest guest
Barb, Welcome, Sounds like your awakening is like what happened to me. I awoke to have my whole right side numb. Glad you found us. Kim in Nebraska New member Hello everyone! I'm in that limbo land I bet you've all gone through. I haven't been diagnosed, but the neuro is pretty sure it will be MS. I'm 51 and have been getting mysterious illnesses for years. When I've seen doctors for pain, etc. they can't find anything wrong. The solution? Give the nut case some antidepressents. I thought I had a stroke when I woke up one morning in October to find my left side numb. I'm finally seeing a neurologist who doesn't think I'm crazy. The waiting really isn't bad. When he first suggested MS I didn't want to consider it. If that is what it turns out to be, I'll have had time to get used to the idea. Guest guest
Hi Stella welcome to the group. It is possible you have something going on other than MS there are other health conditions that will make you think you have MS. I know Lymes disease is one of them. I wish I would have gotten Lymes Disease instead of MS because if it is caught early enough it is treatable. http://www.lyme.org/ Sharon had posted this info recently and I thought it was good info Diseases that mimic MS http://neuro-mancer.mgh.harvard.edu/ubb/Forum215/HTML/004130.html http://www.fedem.org/revista/n7/patogeniaing.html http://www.microedgedata.co.uk/aps/aps_ms_4.htm mistaken diagnosis http://www.mult-sclerosis.org/news/Sep2001/UncertainMSDiagnosis.html You may end up wanting to get a second opinion as to what you may have. Bill new member hi i'm stella i haven't been dx. with ms yet, but my doctor thinks that is what i have. he did some test, but nothing showed up.he said i had the symptoms of ms.i get tired alot my legs get weak and i have tingleing feelings i have fallen a few times .my right leg went numb for awhile, the feeling came back except for a spot below my knee.my doctor said the nerve is dead there.ihave alot of pain at times and it gets hard to walk sometimes.sometimes i get scared not knowing whats wrong.i do my best to take each day at a time and deal with whats going on that daybut it gets hard sometimes.i am wanting to know how long does it take fo ms to show up in test.my doctor said that even though my test didn't show any lesions that it didn't mean i didn't have ms.that sometimes it wouldn't show up for awhile.i hope someone can help answer my question.tkank you stella

Guest guest
Hi Lori, Welcome aboard-sorry we had to meet you this way! The MS specialist sounds like the way to go for you. It's tough waiting, I know, and you surely have a busy schedule already. My advice--and you'll see it from others here, time to time, is to stand in front of a mirror and practice saying, " No, I'm sorry, I can't take on any more right now. " That's the first step to decreasing some of that fatigue and stress. Don't worry about taking naps, do what you need to do! With my 'tweens; we have worked quite a bit on them picking up some of the load. Laundry, cooking, some cleaning: it's good for them! They have been a great help. While I doubt that the doc will attribute all your symptoms to the smoking, he/she should surely tell you what you know already: that you really need to stop. One way or another cigarettes will cause you significant medical problems. I know that it's a terribly difficult thing to stop-but you can do it! Check on the American Lung Association site to find support. Hang in there~we're rooting for you! Sam

Guest guest
Do you have a kitchen scale? If so weight it. If not, then a program like fitday.com can usally give you a calorie count from the number of cubic inches of many foods, like cheese. Guest guest
---Hey- I just am completing my first week. I had some struggles this week but ended up losing 2 pounds so that encourged me to keep on trying. I did body for life back in 2003 before I got preggo and had great success. Now I have two kiddos(4 yr old and a 9 month old) and am using BFL to drop and keep off those last stubborn ten pounds of baby weight! I am using this site for encouragement and motavation. > >

Either I'll lose the weight without it being a diet or I won't. I've thought about this a lot but kept using all the diet food and drinks and I think that just keeps me hungrier. > Maybe if I try to go full flavor I'll be satisfied quicker and will actually start losing the weight and be a lot more satisfied.
