Guest guest
What Type of Spina Bifida does she have? Is it a form that required Surgery after Birth to close the Back? If it is that kind, then yes, it is very likely that she has Tethered Cord. But that doesn't mean she will become Symptomatic. Another 2 Cents from Brande. Guest guest
Hello: I have recently gotten past my first outbreak of EN. I believe mine lasted about 3-4 months as well. The lumps had progressively gotten smaller and slower to multiply. My little cough went away about a month before the end. The pain in the lumpy areas went away, I guess that's how I finally decided it was over, that the pain went away, and the lumps flattened and browned. I now have some brownish "scars" where the heaviest concentration of nodules were, on thighs, and calves and the original site below my left knee. I have minimal swelling at ankles and no more pain in wrists, less in hips than normal. I have to tell everyone that two days ago I went strawberry picking with my two younger kids and was kneeling for a great part of it. I pondered the fact that several months ago that was not possible. To me, it sounds as if your daughter is at the end of the current cycle. I would guess that some of the "veterans" of EN may have different experiences. Im glad she is getting some relief after a terrible 3 months-I have a 14 yr old active athlete daughter and I cannot imagine how she would manage if she had EN at that age. Your girl must be a tough cookie.
