Guest guest
Hi all Just wondered if anyone had any specific advice for the above condition. I had a young seven year old girl as a new patient last week with very bad psoriasis. She is covered from the neck down - her face is really the only part that is clear. Skin surface about 90% covered. Biopsy shows traces of psoriasis so that's the very loose diagnosis given. I'm obviously giving dietary advice but she says that she has tried calendula cream and star flower cream (made by a large herbal group - so I presume with no chemicals in it!!!) but both made the skin sting very badly so she couldn't continue with it. I'd like to use some " washes " in the bath too. I'm going to do small skin tests with my own calendula/borage oil just to check but wonder if anyone could help with either internal or external treatment. Mum is going to go dairy free and reduce meat products as much as possible. They appear very complaint. She is a very sensitive child - vata in constitution - articulate and gentle, cold in constitution, hates noise/wind etc. Any help would be appreciated. Guest guest
Hi Jean I've had some great results with Eicosanoil Cream - Hemp Seed Oil Cream, + Sea Buckthorn oil capsules(Salcura) + Sea Buckthorn oil and lotion (Weleda). Internally, depending on cause, I've used anti-inflammatories and/or liver herbs (Milkthistle, Dandelion root, Barberry root, Bupleurum) Hope the above helps. Guest guest
soak organic oats and bathe the child in it. whenever she has a bath. Pukka have a very good skin formula that may prove useful. If she is a VATA constitution warm sesame oil message (the whole body) would be good to balance the dosha. Massage the whole body, leave it for 10 minutes and wash off only the ecxess. Do not use soap to wash it off. Massage the sole of the feet well. Good luck Iria Schiller URHP > > Hi all > > Just wondered if anyone had any specific advice for the above condition.
