Hi!

Our son had blocked tearducts where they exit into the nose. There are

supposed to be 2 passages and exits (upper and lower) on each side and he only

had one passage on each side which did not exit. They probed and " created "

(forced through) an opening under general anesthesia for another procedure

(g-tube and fundo). Prior to that he had constant infections and drainage, but

has been fine ever since.

My daughter Clare is a two year old (as of next week!) CHARGER and I

was fortunate to meet many of you in Houston last summer and am just

now finding time to access to the listserve. I have also been

able to network with other CHARGE families locally which is a

great support to me and will be to Clare in the future.

If anyone has experience with abscence of punctus of the eyelid,

I would love to hear from you. Clare is missing the tiny holes on the

bottom of both eyes that should lead to the tear ducts. It causes

chronic tearing and often eye infection for lack of proper drainage.

FYI:

Our home health care supplier sent us the wrong size feeding bag and

I would be happy to ship the case of 30 no charge to anyone who

uses them because the company doesn't want them back.
