Adverse rxn To herbs- autoimmune disease

Hi I wanted to feedback my progress in treating a young woman with mucous

membrane pemphigus, I posted her case a while ago. She had a reaction to the

herbs, a blistering erruption on the hands and feet, which is seperate to

the condition itself. She had this reaction before on antifunghal

medication, and was keen to have antifunghal herbs removed from the

prescription. I really want to know whether anyone knows of these herbs

adversely affecting autoimmune conditions in general or whether there are

any documented cases?

The prescription contained

Hydrocotyle asiatica

Astragalus membranaceous

Glycyrrhiza glabra

Tabebuia impetiginosa

Carduus marianus

Hydrastis canadensis

I dowsed the herbs with her and the pendulum said Glycyrrhiza, Hydrocotyle

and Hydrastis were the culprits. So I removed them and she is getting on

fine with a new prescription, which includes Tabebuia and Calendula and the

other herbs as before. I just can't get my head around how gotu cola in

particular could upset an autoimmune condition and am similarly miffed about

Licuorice and goldenseal.

She dabs Myrrh and Calendula 90% on the MM blisters, which stops them coming

up and so far is off the prednisolone entirely and doing well.

Greetings, Niamh!

Can you explain what you do/what this process is of 'dowsing' with herbs and

using the pendulum? I have heard of this before but not familiar with it. Is

it a method of kinesiology, and how is it performed? It sounds very interesting

to me...
