Guest guest
Sue, I would take a guess that your pt. might benefit from adding EFA's, B complex vits, and raw honey.... possibly Borago... and maybe look at tonics like a, etc... I've got no experience with myotonic dystrophy, but have worked on muscular endurance in men, and they've benefitted from Epimedium, a, Eleuthero, Theobroma, and in a pre-exercise mix, he also had Panax. I added cardiovascular herbs like Crataegus, which you already have in the mix...and likely had Glycyrrhiza in there somewhere. xxTami Subject: myotonic dystrophy Has anyone any experience of treating someone with this condition? Patient is in his late 20's, no family history of the disease, diagnosed 6months. Main sx weakness in sustained hand grip, numbness and tingling in hands, shoulder and neck stiffness, always tired, infertility, poor memory, 1 x episode of arrhythmia at Xmas. No orthodox tx. History of note - previous job as cash delivery/pick up driver and during that time the victim of 9 robberies, on one occasion hit with baseball bat and sustained perforated eardrum requiring surgical repair - no counselling following any of the attacks but " seems " ok with it all! I'm thinking of using Hypericum, Crataegus, Vib op, Astragalus, Avena. Any ideas/insight/experience very gratefully received. Can supply more info about patient if needed.
