Guest guest
Can I reinforce this. I was measured snoring at 80dba and whilst my CPAP unit has not totally ellimated my snoring it has so reduced it that my partner can sleep in the same bed with me. In addition it has made a great difference to the amount of energy I have. Guest guest
I'm going for a sleep study on September 6th because my Dr. looked in my mouth and said I have sleep apnea, not sure how he could tell like that but I'll find out for sure. I'm a little nervous about being able to sleep at the center, I guess I'll have to make sure I'm really tired that night. > > http://www.pbs.org/newshour/video/module.html? mod=0 & pkg=13082008 & seg=3 > > PLEASE TAKE NOTICE OF THIS NEWS REPORT IF : > -You are overweight > -You snore constanly during sleep > -You often feel tired and have problem of concentration during working > hours > -You can fall asleep after watching TV for only 10 minutes or while > waiting at the traffic light to change from red to green... > These are signs that you may have apnea sleep disorder > > I have taken the advice of a doctor to wear a CPAP machine during sleep > to correct these problems and it helps tremendously .The difference is > like night and day >

Guest guest
I had a sleep test and wasn't able to sleep much (it's often a problem for me). I wasn't scheduled to get there until 9pm and by time they had everything done, it was close to midnight. I wasn't told I had to sleep on my back but the tech came in a couple times because a sensor wasn't reading due to me laying on it or it getting moved, but it worked out okay. They wanted to give me something to make me sleep but I refused it. I did sleep enough for the study but they woke me at 5am after only a few hours sleep. I felt so horrible and had to drive myself home (best to get a ride if you can). I wouldn't have been able to work afterwards (due to lack of sleep) but I think many people do. The CPAP machine didn't help me. I would take it off after a few hours so i could sleep. I tried for a long time. I also tried two of the three masks the company offers. But Hung gave me a pointer and I'll at least try their third mask.
