Hi anna,

thanks for the advice.  I have seen and read several ways of doing a cabbage

poultice - how do you do it and which type of cabbage would you recommend?

regards,

gursewa.

Hi Gursewa,

I have used pointed cabbage - only because it is the only one I like to eat, but

I think any cabbage will do. I either shred a few leaves and than bash them with

a rolling pin or mash them in a pestle (slightly better), then put the mash on a

piece of plastic and place around the painful spot. I use plastic so that the

juice is not absorbed into the cloth. I change this every 15 min or so until

there is a relief in pain. It apparently feels very cooling and soothing almost

straight away. Look up the archives - I followed somebody else's idea from the

list.

Hope it helps

I’ve had good success using an oil based on arnica infused oil, applied

topically.
