Guest guest
Hi Lindy, Boy, that sure gives you more faith in our doctrs!! You must really be frustrated and angry. Are you going to have your son checked out to see if he still has heart murmur? I have heard so many times that these kids have heart murmurs--weird coincidence?? Take care, tracy [ ] Hepatitis-B I am trying to figure out if my 10 y.o. son had the Hep.B vaccine. I got all his and his twin sister's and older sister's birth records from the hospital. I cannot seem to find anything about ANY vaccines, or meds given. Does anyone know if the Hep.B vaccine was given 10 years ago??? Another interesting thing is that my son's twin sister was found to have a heart murmur around 6 wks old. She had MRI, etc. and I was told it closed up, and everything was OK. I got their records this week, and found that the heart murmur was in my SON'S records, not my daughter's. Is this ridiculous or what??? How in the world could they make a mistake like this???!! All these years I have been watching my daughter, because of a possible heart condition, and now I find that it may have been my son's problem all along!!! I am really wondering at this point who actually had(or has) this heart murmur....more confusion...frustration. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Lindy~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Guest guest
My son is 9-1/2 and did get the HepB so they probably did give it around the time your son was born. Gaylen
Guest guest
Lindy, My daughter was born in October 1990 and has not gotten the Hep B shot, and won't get it either. They require a series of 3 shots for entry to 5th grade here in Illinois - she's in 4th now - but we've gotten a medical exemption. When my daughter entered Kindergarten, I had to provide the school with a kindergarten physical, and the immunization records are on that sheet. I got them from the pediatrician who did the shots. Check with your school for whatever you provided them with at that time, or with the ped. Let us know whether he got the shot or not - but I doubt it, as Hep B was started in '91. K.
