Guest guest
Candy Grandmom, In the years past, I would often read these notes with the " BFL basics " and delete them as " ya gotta be kidding me if we don't know this stuff " . Of course, that was after staying solidly on BFL for almost 4 years. These last 6+ months of moving and compounded family crisis seemed to rock my core BFL practices. Although re-starting my BFL quest many times, I've somehow ended up expanding 6 " at the waist and more than 50 pounds on the scale. ...And I can feel rest assured that the 50 pound gain is NOT muscle! After losing more than 150 pounds of fat (and now finding more than 50 of them), I find myself misfiring on the " BFL basics " . And for those of you that suggest that the occasional extra cheat day can be made up with some extra exercise, that house of cards falls apart when you suddenly can't find the time to do the exercise. I lived it, I know! We are what we eat and we eat to meet the health & fitness goals we have firmly set in our mind. And, if we haven't actively set those health & fitness goals in our mind, we will become what we subconsiously think we look like. In my case... ummm... Fat! As a man thinkith, so shall he become! In the recent past, I suppose I've had some stinking thinking, so it is back to the BFL Basics. That's a big, long way of saying... Thanks for posting those basics. I remain, trying to remember... Progress, not perfection!
Guest guest
, I agree the basics are the key. I've recently rededicated myself to BFL basics and the results are good. I've posted an image in the files section to illustrate the improvement I've seen in my weight since eating more strictly. No more free days on the weekend that seemed always to become free weekends. I'm also cutting out some of the carbs and switching to more vegetables. It works. Guest guest
, We all lose our way from time to time (don't I know it), but at least with you - you've maintained the connection w/BFL mentally, w/the group and always in your heart. You CAN get back on that horse and beat the fat! Your " Progress not Perfection " should be fuel for that fire!! Now get to gettin'!! Guest guest
Bruce, which folder are you in? I'm not sure where to look. Andy > > , > > I agree the basics are the key. Guest guest
I found your graphs and they do illustrate a good point. However it does look like the overall trend is downward even with the upswings. Definitely something to consider. Andy > > > > , > > > > I agree the basics are the key. Guest guest
Oops! I said they were in the files section. I actually put them in my folder in the Photos section. I had a misstep today. A colleague is leaving my school and her " going away party " was today and I pigged out on some very rich cake! Shame on me. I've got an out of town engagement this weekend with food provided. That will be another challenge. Bruce > > > > , > > > > I agree the basics are the key. I've recently rededicated myself to > > BFL basics and the results are good.
