Guest guest
Well my 12 weeks are over as of today. I am thinking I am just going to continue forward with the eating and work outs but not think about challenges, just keep body for life as a standard of living from here on out. I have read a few places that your body might need some time off from the working out part inbetween challenges. Anyone recommend this or should I just continue as usual? Let me know what you think of my results! I posted my pics.

Guest guest
Short breaks are probably ok, but I just read in Men's Health magazine that in as little as 2 weeks of inactivity, one begins to lose muscle mass. So don't make your break very long. I'd suggest no more than a week. My flu bug caused me to miss 9 days and I'm back at it as of today and don't seem to have fallen behind in my weights. Guest guest
, your pics show some really great progress. You look great! At some point a lot of us just move forward and don't think about the challenges. I stopped thinking about them before I got to 10. It sounds like you are already at this point where you don't need to count. Personally, I would not completely quit working out. At minimum I would do some cardio. Some time off from weight lifting is good, but I've often found I can't lift as much when I come back to it. After a few sessions the weights go back up. If you feel like taking some days off or having some easier days, feel free to do. You can even cycle these into your workouts every few weeks. If you have some really intense weeks, it doesn't hurt to scale back a week. Well-timed easier weeks will make you stronger and keep you from burning out.
