We are trying to come up with ideas for running a weight loss challenge for our

patients. Anyone out there done this? How did you run it? What were the prizes

or incentives? How did you get people to sign up? How long was it run for? Any

and all ideas are greatly appreciated!

We have run several of these. Most of the contestants came for our client

base but we did get a few " off the street "

Here are some details from our 2011 contest. Our 2012 contest kicks off in 3

weeks.

we have an ongoing weightless program called " woof watchers " and then every few

months we have the biggest loser contest..i have pictures of the dogs at initial

weigh in (i do measurements of girth etc) we set monthly milestones and then

take pictures each month and put on the board i created. I have several dogs in

the program at any given time. They come for Uwtm or swimming whichever. the

prize at the end of 3 months for biggest weight loss is a free swim/uwtm

session, and i give a bag of low calorie treats..
