If you want to loose the fat and are concerned w/loosing muscle, HIIT is the

way to go. Brief, but intense cardio will incourage your body to use stored

fat for energy. I'm a cyclist, and always wondered why i had a hard time

keeping my muscle mass. That's what moderate intensity cardio will get ya!

If you want to use an RTD, I HIGHLY recommend Myoplex Deluxe. It's about

330 calories (compared to 280 in Myoplex Original), but it's the content of

the shake that make the diff:

* Myoplex Deluxe is fortified w/BCAAs and CLA. CLA encourages fat loss, and

BCAAs are great for building and maintaining muscle

* A majority of the extra calories come from protein, some of which come

from casein. The slow digesting protein will provide your muscles w/more

amino acids for a longer period

* The carbohydrate component is a complex carb, not the 'sugary'

Maltodextrin that is in both Myoplex Original and Lite. While technically a

complex carb, Maltodextryn causes a sharp rise your blood sugar levels - the

same mechanism your body uses to store fat.

I no longer use myoplex lite or original. I felt ravenously hungry about

60-90 minutes later (which I believe due to the maltodextrin).

Good luck!

Phil,

Thanks for the information! It does make sense. Deluxe may have extra

calories, but the formula is better in the long run. I just have to make

sure I don't deviate from the portions of " real food " as I don't want my

daily calories to get too high. I am averaging two to three Myoplex

meals a day which may consist of a bar and two powder packets or an RTD

and one or two packets. In any case, I am into this program and see

results. Thanks for your support!

Has anyone tried Bill Right Nutrition Shakes? I am tempted

to order some but can't find an ingredient list. If anyone knows the

ingredients, let me know. They are sold here

http://store.transformation.com/category/7011413541/1/Nutrition-Shakes.htm

but I don't see ingredients.
