Guest guest
Oh no. Well, if it makes you feel better, a week ago Monday I was at 228. This Monday, after my weekend splurge, I was at 229.5. So it doesn't take much going off program to throw you out of whack! I do believe water is very important. If you're having trouble getting your water in, try for 6 glasses a day. Keep it in the fridge so it's cold. I put mine in a half gallon container, and pour from that. Then when the container is empty, I know I've had my fill. I also use a squirt of lemon juice and ice to make it taste better. Lyn Re: WEIGHT GAIN UHHHH nOOOO, I gained 2 lbs. this week, can not drinking your water do that???? Guest guest
Lynn, the problem was that I changed job locations, and have a 30 min. commute one way, rather than a 10 or l5 min., I had'nt gotton used to the routine, it threw me off mine. I know I have to have the water with the health problem I have. A pill regulates everything, so I had an idea it would'nt be a good week. so I got up today, and drank half of the water before I am leaving for work... Anyway, I've got to get back on track.... I am on the verge of messing up big time, so you guys, say some really inspiring things to make me think..

Guest guest
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced weight gain while on continual antibiotics. I'm doing Pilates 2x's a week and really eat pretty well - but recently I have been gaining weight - and it just makes no sense. Thanks. Guest guest
Thanks Joy – I appreciate your thoughts. From: bronchiectasis [mailto:bronchiectasis ] On Behalf Of joy hensby Sent: Friday, February 01, 2008 5:36 PM To: bronchiectasis Subject: Re: Weight Gain , This is a hard one – and even if you’re not much overweight, in these days of obesity doctors, let alone other people realise how much just a little overweight puts more load onto the heart and lungs to try and get O2 around the body, adding to the general fatigue and reluctance to exercise. If you mean fungal infx by ‘yeast’, I couldn’t say, I was underweight when it was at its worst, but probably because so unwell generally. The yoghurt and pro-biotics will help your digestive system absorb the nutrients you need, but I wouldn’t think would make much diff to weight. If constipated, that would add to weight prob. The only way I can get those extra kilos (pounds) off is eat light for the evening meal, and early (pref around 6pm or earlier, but not later than 7pm). Since I don’t have a family to feed this is probably easier than for some. However, if those who rely on you making the evening meal, talk to them, ask for their help in this, not to expect you to cook a meal you are better off not eating, esp if after 8-9pm. Guess the other thing is checking calorie content of everything you eat, our local group had a guest speaker talk to us about diet, and had a lot of packets (empty!), which we could compare the contents/ingredient of. Rather scary that the ones with the biggest claims to be ‘fat free’ etc were in some cases so high in sugar that they were worse than something you knew was a ‘sweet’. Don’t know if any of this is much use to you, but I hope something helps! joy
