Guest guest
Hi Amy, I had a full ACL and meniscal tear in 1977. they removed the ACL remnants, AND removed the entire MMC. I have done well on it for 35 years, still downhill, and nordic ski, mountain bike, hike and fly fish alot of rivers. I do wear a medial unloader brace because of severe osteoarthritis, but do well with intermittent ibuprofen and tramadol. I am out of town and don't have access to my journals, but I think there was a recent study in VCOT that looked at dogs that had combined ACL and MMC tear, and in one group they just did a meniscectomy and in the other a meniscectomy and stabilization. And I think those two groups clinically did the same? You may have already seen it.
