Booking and more details via www.AllAboutNaturalMedicine.com 0208 350 4607 Some of you may have met Salim as he has given some NIMH seminars. He is a wise man. best wishes, Guy Waddell Did you know there is a way to understand yourself and your patients that is more than 2,000 years old and yet little used today? If you are a health practitioner this workshop will give you a fascinating insight into the temperaments and characters of your patients. Whether your patient is predominantly sanguine, melancholic, phlegmatic or choleric can have a major influence on the causes, development and treatment of dis-ease. Understanding the patterns of physical, emotional and mental health of these 4 basic temperaments can help you to understand both your patients and yourself better. The common heritage of Traditional Medicine is the understanding that a balance of the Humours (black bile, yellow bile, phlegm and blood) results in good health. When the Humours are out of balance then there is dis-ease. Over the course of the weekend: 1. Learn about the 4 Humours and Temperaments. 2. Learn how to identify an individual constitution, which will form an important foundation to lifestyle and herbal prescriptions. 3. Learn how the 4 Humours are reflected in personality and emotions. Understanding the constitution of an individual is the foundation of all classical traditions of medicine, whether it is Western Herbal Medicine from Greece and Europe or Ayurveda, Traditional Arabic Medicine (TIBB) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This day is especially useful for herbalists, homeopaths, naturopaths and nutritionists, although anyone is welcome to participate. Understanding the dynamics within yourself and your patients is the foundation of a successful practice. The day is presented by Salim Khan and Philip Weeks; two highly respected and experienced practitioners.
