Guest guest
Hi I signed up for the group not to long ago. I have not started a good work out program yet. I started re reading the Body For Life Book right before I joined this group and have since started watching the motivational videos with Bill (Bill goes to the winners homes and they jump up and down, win a car, bla, bla...HA!). I'm doing my best to eat right, so I'm off to some kind of start! There were a few days where I slipped off the Body For Life suggested eating " program " . Uhmm..oops, do over. My goal is to start working out on Monday. I see all these other people with more obstacles than me. I'm thinking, " What the heck is keeping me away from working out!!?? " I do have 2 children, one is 5 months old, so it can keep me from the gym, but not working out at home. Now, I'm ready to get serious and stay focused. Who knows, maybe I'll win the big prize. Who knows, you might see my before and after pictures somewhere. It would be nice to be handed a check just for keeping in shape! I'm off to take a " before " pix soon. Ack..now that is really scary!! -Michele H.
Guest guest
Welcome Michele! Good job getting that ball rolling! Do you have any weight equipment at home? Is this your first time lifting? I am so pleased to have found such a common sense program. I look forward to hearing from you as you prgress. I can't wait to get my Challenge under way! Guest guest
Thanks, Machelle! I do have some weights at home. Most of my workout is going to have to be at the gym. I have a few exercise DVD's, but it's only good on cardio days. It's not my first time lifting. I used to lift weights in my late teens and early 20's (college gym). Back then I hung around with some local, famous body builders. I think it really " pumped " me up! HA! It gave me the motivation to workout and push myself. Back then, I was young, no kids, not many responsibilities, so it was easy to spend an hour or two in the gym 2 + times a week. Sometimes I even ate better. When I sent the " where I am at " email, my email wasn't sending, so it sat it my email box for about a week. Now, I'm into the first week of working out as I mentioned in one of my posts...ouch! I had a rocky start, I got bronchitis last Sunday, so the first couple of workouts I had to take it easy. Then, my son came down with croup, that put us in the hospital for 1 day. I worked out last night at home. Today isn't so bad, I can do cardio at home while I take care of my son. Thanks again, Michele ________________________________ From: bodyforlife [mailto:bodyforlife ] On Behalf Of Machelle Sent: Friday, July 18, 2008 8:31 PM To: bodyforlife Subject: Re: Where I am at Welcome Michele!
