Guest guest
We have all been through this my daughter had 3 bouts in 18 months and has been in remission 2 yrs!!!! Avoid people with upper respiratory infections, get extra sleep, eat healthy as her immune system has taken a hit. Watch for triggers! Muck luck and best wishes!Sent from my iPhone Hello Everyone! My 15 year old daughter has been suffering with EN for 3months. She's had horrible fevers, cough, swelling. She had a biopsy, CTscan, MRI. All came back clear, the biopsy was "consistent with EN". About two weeks ago all of her symptoms started to subside. She looks and feels "normal". She still has a bit of swelling in her feet. She does have alot of discoloration in her feet and a few bruises on her legs. We saw the rheumatologist today and she was so pleased to see my daughter's progress. I really just wanted to thank everyone for all of the advice and encouragement. We could not have gotten through this without your support. I know it might not seem like it, but there is light at the end of the tunnel....I wish you all good health & happiness.
Guest guest
Hi Jeri,That is wonderful news!!! I hope your daughter never has to deal with EN again! On a bit of a less optimistic note I developed an EN flare up myself after nearly 4 yrs remission a week ago. Since I have had EN since I was 21 and am close to 65 now, I am no stranger to it--although the trigger continues to be unknown. However I immediately went to the cold water soaks and put on the compression stocking--in fact I even slept with the knee high compression stocking the first night. I'm doing soaks twice a day for up to one hour at a time. Here I am a week later and the leg looks and feels great! I am not taking walks yet, though. What seemed to bring it on was kneeling in the yard while gardening--maybe a bug bite, or just the stretched position of the ankle where I always get the EN. So, that's my story...maybe I will never truly be free of EN, but at least I know how to deal with it effectively now...and no prescription or visit to the dr, required. ;-)Love,http://poems2order.wordpress.com/Please enter Erythema Nodosum.........Thanks!Subject: A Thank YouTo: "erythema_nodosum_Group " <erythema_nodosum_Group >Date: Tuesday, July 10, 2012, 6:54 PM Hello Everyone! Guest guest
Thank you for your update. I am certainly hoping that she never has to deal with EN again. In the event it returns we know so much more about it and we can tackle it head on! Take care of yourself and thank you again!
