Guest guest
My blood level never went up past 2.5 or so on day 21. That was the problem. The dr. kept trying to play the numbers game. I got lots of liver/gallbladder pain all month except for days 12-14. I know my blood sugar went wonky during the WP (still is now) but I didn't have a glucometer at the time. (I do now) Liz ___________________________________ www.ojaipaintedminis.com From: rhythmicliving [mailto:rhythmicliving ] On Behalf Of LaurelSent: Friday, April 18, 2008 4:24 PMTo: rhythmicliving Subject: Re: Theresa/WP A very odd thing occurred for some women on the WP. Blood levels that were not terrible before the WP got LOWER after on the WP. In my case my P on day 21 (with horrifying symptoms) was BOTTOMED OUT. It was sooo weird. It's like the P went underground. ? Dr. Fromby found this very interesting. He speculated that the P could have driven the P right into the red blood cells and when they do serum testing they don't test the red blood cells. ?? If you read the article about the insidious nature of P then you might opt for testing the metabolites of P. The story about not being pregnant doesn't pass occam's razor. If I were you and on the WP protocol with all that P I'd have a glucose monitor on hand and use it like crazy. You might learn a heck of a lot about what P does to your sugar levels. BTW, you could also test your IGF-1. In Dr. Vliet's book Screaming to Be Heard she cites studies that indicate that GH is surpassed when oral P is over 100mg (I think that's it...I've posted about this several times in the archives with page numbers). Look for the footprint of P if it isn't showing in blood and saliva or test urine. Worth reading with a pen in hand to underline. http://rhythmicliving.org/rhythmicliving/Formby_P_dominance.html Laurel On Apr 18, 2008, at 3:53 PM, ayalatheresaaol wrote: Hi Liz,In month two, my doctor increased the E by 2 lines. So I'm on E+2. I followed the protocol exactly until month four. At that time, the Wiley folks told me I was "feeling the P." Suzie (I think that is her name) Wiley reduced the P by 2 lines. The decrease got me through that month. In month five, I could barely tolerate 1 - 2 lines of the P every other day. When I contacted Caren, she pointed out that what I was doing was not the WP. The interesting thing is that blood levels for P are still in the post meno range. My E is in the normal range - for a twenty year old. I'm 45! If I cannot handle the P again this cycle, I am not going to take it. Caren thinks I may be having a hard time adjusting to the P and high levels of E because I have never been pregnant.I did a lot of research before starting the WP. I was not totally comfortable with the program, but was desperate to feel better and nothing else had worked. I hadn't even been able to get a doctor to take a real interest in helping me.Honestly, in so many ways, I do feel better. I am sleeping and I had not slept well since 2003. I am no longer having fits of rage, which I used to only experience during PMS but were happening too frequently for my comfort. I just can't tolerate the dizzies, the anxiety, and weight gain. I also don't like that my body reacts strongly to the fluctuating hormones. More importantly, I don't want to create myself a problem worse than the one I started with. We'll see what my doctor says next week.I have been prediabetic for about a year and wonder if this could be contributing to my problems. The doctors claim I should not have any symptoms, but they have been wrong with me before.By the way, I read about E pellets recently on the Power Surge site. Has anyone tried these?Theresa Welcome another new member.... Welcome to the newest member. Below is her anonymous introduction.
