Fibrotic Myopathy in equines Posted by: "fltapkgaffney" kerri@... fltapkgaffney Thu May 10, 2012 11:38 am (PDT) Anybody treated Fibrotic Myopathy in a horse? What treatments did you find most effective? How did you handle it long term if there are financial restraints on the owners part? We have an older arabian with Fibrotic Myopathy in the semimembranosis and semitendinosis from an old injury. Horse is older, owner just wants to keep him mobile as long as possible. We are thinking definitely ultrasound, stretching, possibley Laser- wondering if anyone has tried shockwave? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
