Hi ,

Sorry, doesn’t take long b4 getting used to common abbreviations:

Infx = infection; abx = antibiotics; there’re others too that crop up but they’re the main ones, and of course, bronch for bronchiectasis.

I know drs don’t like it but question them about your meds. I had a doc who just couldn’t seem to get it into his head I was not asthmatic... Have spent far too much on on unnecessary meds, but you do feel you have to give them a go, some not beneficial. Anything making you wheeze, I’d personally get an appt w/ your doc asap – w/ a lung condition you don’t want a med that increases airway obstruction !!!

I don’t know Advair, so can’t comment. I’ve felt like a vampire victim this past year I’ve had so many bloods! It seems to depend on the individual dr what path they take – sputum samples or not, blood tests or not, or for what.... I also had probably 18mths continual infx since mid-late 06, then again mid 07 until last hospitalisation last month, but at last feel like I’m coming ‘out of the woods....’

joy
