Guest guest
Has anyone taken steroids in a liquid form? I'm not sure if it exists but I cannot take Prednisone in a pill form and I'm hoping that there is that option. My EN has been back for about 7 weeks now and it is just getting worse and worse. I always thought birth control (Estrogen) was my trigger, but I am now on Depo Provera (Estrogen free) shot and it still came back. I don't know how much longer I can take being this exhausted. Thanks B
Guest guest
Hi ,One of Depo Provera's side effects is EN. http://www.drugs.com/sfx/depo-provera-side-effects.htmlIn fact both estrogen and /or progesterone can trigger EN. However, the diaphragm with contraceptive cream doesn't contain either. Once you get the hang of putting it in, it is not that big a deal. It must be fitted by a doctor. I'm wondering if you may not be EN free until the Depo P. shot is out of your system. I remember another member had that problem with the Depo P. shot. Sorry, I don't know of a liquid steroid. I soak my leg in cold ice water a couple times a day and use the support knee high. After years of EN that finally got me into a long remission--but I never knew for sure what my trigger was.Hope you fee much better very soon.Love,http://poems2order.wordpress.com/Please enter Erythema Nodosum.........Thanks! Guest guest
Wow, thank you so much for this information. My Gyno knows of my issues with EN and they are the ones that suggested the Depo P shot. This is very frustrating. The sad part is, I just had another shot last week. So I'm sure I'm looking at at least 9 months before that is even possibly out of my system. I know that it is known to stay in your system for several months after you stop taking it.At least I now know. I was doing okay with taking Progesterone only b/c pills, but they wanted to up my Progesterone because of hormonal issues. I know for a fact now that my EN has everything to do with my hormones. Thank you for the info on the diaphragm option as well.
