Question for The Group: What is rehabilitation?

Hello.As we establish a " vision " of what our already-busy physical therapy and rehabilitation department is, I wonder if there is a consensus out there?  Can you send me (off list, please, so to avoid any heated discussion, turf issues, etc.) your definition of the following:

-physical therapy/physiotherapy?-physical medicine?-physical rehabilitation?-rehabilitation?-any other term that you use to describe your area of practice. 

Also, I wonder what is included in these definitions, what modalities, treatments, techniques, etc?Thanks in advance for your thoughts and contribution to this field.Regards,Amie Hesbach
