Guest guest
Today, I turn 40. I'm happy, healthy have family and friends that I love and they love me...couldn't be any luckier. In January of this year, I weighed 230 lbs --I'm 5' 8 & quot;. (My doctors screw-ball scale said I weighed a lot more than that). But I was sick and tired of being sick and tired about it. The picture in the lower right is me in January. Diets were just another avenue of depression and failure. But going into my 40's my bod is no longer under warranty, so I needed to fix it. I have been on the BFL program for about 6 months now at the recommendation of a friend. I really like it, have had no problems staying with it, don't feel deprived and have gained a lot more muscle and tone than I had in my 20's. Since January of this year, I have lost over 30 lbs and my doctor isn't lecturing me about my health anymore. Most of the weight was lost in the first three months. So for my before and after shots, here you go. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kb8wfh/2703735608/ Today, I'm 40. All my friends and relatives are having a good laugh about the & quot;old timer. & quot; It's all great. I'm willing to bet my 40's are as much fun as my 30's, more so that I don't feel embarrassed about my weight and shape.
