Welcome. There hasn't been very much activity here for a while.

As you get your weight down I don't think quick weight loss is a good thing.

You need to be able to maintain what you are doing. A year ago I didn't do much

other than eat a little more than I should have. My weight went up to about 210

from about 202. I started the 10,000 step program sponsored by my employer's

health insurance provider in February of last year. I kept a steady diet

without a lot of sugary items and I started losing about a pound a month. I am

now down to 198. The best part is I feel good and I have learned to pay

attention to my steps everyday. My goal is to average more than 10,000 steps or

step equivalents per day. During the summer I increased my morning yoga program

by adding 6 repetitions of the Sun Salutation. The key is to start doing things

everyday and keep it up for at least 90 days and it will become part of your

daily routine. You will likely to keep doing it.

fairly active but was still getting bigger. I was 6 foot 265 LBS. So I stopped

drinking beer and every morning I stop at the grocery store and buy like 5 to 6

LBS. of fruit which I eat all day long. Then when I get home I eat one plate of

a normal supper. Meat, potato, and vegetable before I go to bed. I am now down

to 215 but I keep losing weight slower and slower.
