Guest guest
Hi Sherry- Thank you for sharing the colors with us. It sounds so beautiful. Amazing how short the seasons seem these days. We still have several trees that are green - then todays wind is leaving them without leaves. Limbs and branches are even tumbling down. Outdoor garbage bins are blown over and down spouts have been blown off. I am shocked at how strong the winds are today. I look forward to hearing how the visit went with your mom. Too bad she had to be moved to another room. There is a reason for everything - hoping your mom continues to do well in her new room. Take care of yourself. So glad you are in touch and back online. I continue to send up prayers for you and your health. It was literally breathtaking as we drove between here and Fife Lake (about an hour NW of us). The next day we had high winds and POOF! it was all gone. Over half the trees were bare. 3 days earlier the colors hadn't quite peaked yet - then nothing at all. But the following week we drove up to Traverse City (just before my stroke) and the colors on the west side were fantastic! (I'm hoping to see my mom for the first time in 2 weeks today, now that I don't have to use a walker - stronger, and head isn't as " spinny " . They had to move her to a different room, her roommate isn't lucid or even responsive except for moaning - but because my mom was constantly going through her other roommate's things and stuff was coming up missing, her roommate's family requested a change. And apparently my mom is handling it pretty well, she's only in her room to sleep anyway, and walking the halls, socializing, helping with activities, and making out with Bo the rest of the time - hahaha!)
