Guest guest
Hi all, just another query . Has anyone got experience with treating parkinsons out there. I have just started treating a 55 yr old male Dx 1 year ago. On all the l-dopa drugs already ( dont have detaisl right now). He also hs a history of RA,and ED, both of which he is also being medicated for aswell as depression. Its early days yet but wondered what practitioner experience is on making an impact on helping with symptoms. Also any ideas out there on the use of Vitex in this condition? Guest guest
Hello, I would be interested if anyone has any expertise in this area as well - I have a lady in her 50's who is also on the l-dopa, main problems she wants addressed being nausea caused by the medication and fatigue. I started her on a low dosage of tr including Scutellaria, Avena, and Eleutherococcus. She has reported having headaches and nausea after taking this mix (at 5ml OD) so has stopped taking. There was no Zingiber in the dispensary where I work (they don't consider it important enough!!!!) so I was planning on introducing a dropper to control nausea at her next appt. I'm now thinking about starting off very gently on teas, and then a few simples - any ideas? > Hi all, just another query . Has anyone got experience with treating > parkinsons out there. Guest guest
Hi Ciara, I have a Pt (in his late 40s) with Parkinson, no meds as yet, who (within 2-6 weeks) had some improvements re anxiety (20% better), energy (from 3-6 improved to 4-7 out of 10) and reduced sleep latency. Other Sx no change. I gave him Scut 20, Avena 20, Valeriana 10, Passiflora 10, Centella 20, Gingko 20. Sleepmix: Valeriana, Eschscholtzia, Passiflora, Lavandula. Also recommended Multivit and esp. CoQ10 (may only be useful in early stages) and gave him details about research into fava beans being possibly useful. You could have a look in the archives for info on Mucuna pruriens, Tribulus terr. etc. Hope this helps All the best Sabine Parkinsons
