Oh, that's interesting. I LIVE in fleece and microfiber, and use t-shirt

(jersey) bedsheets, which I find SO SOFT. Skin-wise, it's clothing tags that

drive me nuts - the ones sewn in at the back of the neck, waistband, or even the

side seam of an item of clothing. Most tags are hard and scratchy. Job one after

I buy an item of clothing is to cut off the damn tags.

The skin sensitivities discussion leads me to ask a question: does anyone else

here have fibromyalgia? I've attributed at least some of my touch-oriented

sensitivies to fibromyalgia for many years since fibro, simplistically put, is

an issue with how your body perceives pain.

microfiber and that fleecy fabric used to make some stuffed animals) just give

me the creeps when I touch them!

eat ice cubes...crunch, crunch, I'm sure you can imagine how irritating that

was.

that's interesting, my mother was wondering if I might have fibromyalgia. I

always cut the tags off my clothes as soon as I get them home.

Have you looked into Sensory Processing Disorder? It might fit better than

fibromyalgia. Just a suggestion. I confess I don't see the fibro connection.

I have SPD... while you're waiting for the book, you can read about it at the

SPD Foundation:

http://www.sinetwork.org/about-sensory-processing-disorder.html

There is info for adults (more is found on the left sidebar under 'About SPD' if

you scroll down to 'In Adults') there and in the Library section, too, I

believe.

a book, The Sensory Processing Disorder Answer Book, at the library, but it was

not available. I put a hold on it, so hopefully I'll get it soon. I will post if

I find something that might be significant.
