I have been looking for a place to do Neurofeedback in sdale, AZ where I live. I went to the offices of Brain State Technologies which happens to be headquartered here in sdale, and has 120 offices in 15 countries. I spoke to them today and they said that it is a like neurofeedback, but is a passive process, it cost $2000.00 for 10 one and a half hour sessions on 5 consecutive days. Some people need a few more sessions at a cost of $175.00 per session. They claim an 85% success rate with most of problems people come in for. ADD, insomnia, phobias anxiety, depression etc. It is supposed to rebalance the brain, which goes out of balance from physical and emotional traumas. Sounds logical to me...Has anyone heard of or tried this therapy? They say that it takes

many fewer sessions than traditional Neurofeedback. The place looks to be very well run and professional. At this point I want to give it a try. Mike L.

Hi Mike,I just spoke to a few NFB providers and they agreed that this a far cry from NFB and you're better off spending your money on NFB. Wish I had more to say about it, but I've never heard of it and know nothing about it personally, I am just passing along their advice.Heidi

Thanks Heidi,The last thing I need to do is waste more money on therapy. I does look so interesting but need to research it some more. I could not find LENS or Zengar in the area I live. I feel so hopeful about NFB, but do not want the wrong one and don't know if there is some bad feelings or competition among the various NFB providers and the particular method they use. If anyone is interested it is: www.BrainStateTech.com.Good luck with your NFB!Mike To: Soundsensitivity Sent: Monday, March 12, 2012 9:11 PM Subject: Re: Brain State Technologies----Neurofeedback

I'm sure you can find traditional NFB provider. Find a good respected provider whose willing to contact Dr Lyle who has a proven track record and is willing to use his approach with customizations as we are all different. Look at www.eeginfo.com to find someone near you. There's many different machines and ways to approach this within NFB, I say go for that rather than the not really quite NFB approach. :-)HeidiSent from my iPhone

Thanks again Heidi,I will check out the website that you sent. I feel very hopeful about this which is not easy after almost 40 years of therapies that have not worked with Misophonia. I just can't seem to give up trying.I so much want NFB to work.
