Tammy,

Isn't that great 39 cents a card. It's called the Card Factory. They

sell all kinds of paper products, party stuff, etc. and the cards are just

terrific.

Tracey,

I wish I knew how to ease your pain a little bit. I've been having a painful

week myself, and I'm not sure why. I hope you know that you have my thoughts

and prayers (if you want them). Try and take it easy this weekend, hopefully

the weather will be nice and you can just go sit in the sun. Try and relax.

I know how hard it is when you are in that much pain, I usually try and

divert my attention elsewhere. I sing at the top of my lungs with my

favorite CD's (the soundtrack from RENT is one of my favorites), I'll try and

read a challenging book, etc. Only a diversion, but sometimes it does help.

Let me know how you are doing!

Hugs to you!

Hi Guys,

It seems like a painful week for everyone one the list. Tracey I didn't use a

whole box of Kleenex at 3;30 this morning but I do empathize.

JO, I am so excited about your new doc! Who could ask for anything more,

lalalalalala. lol Seriously, I am ecstatic about the lidocaine!

Jo,

Hope you are feeling better today and you had a good weekend. Mine was

quiet, thank goodness. We didn't have Herb's boys this weekend but we have

the next three!

My pain has still not let up any and it's getting worse in the arm and

hand now. I see my dr. on the 20th.

If you're looking for a challenging book, try one by Higgens

or Tami Hoag's " Stillwater " . I just got into suspence a few months back and

have already read all of s books. I'm reading The Alibi by

Brown now.

Try and have a good let. Let me know how you're doing!! Keep on

singing!! I never heard of the soundtrack of RENT?! I'm more into easy

listening and country. I also like the christian singer W. .

Tracey, How are you feeling? Is the lidocaine working at all? It did help

with the burning and spasms, I hope it eventually does you too.

Let me know. I have been so busy I haven't made chat. I hope to tonight, but

only from 8:30 to 9:00.

Maybe we can compare notes then?

Deb

Deb,

Only getting about 20% pain relief so far. But it's constipating me.

Called the doctor a few minutes ago and he asked if I could come in on

Monday. Of course I had to say no cause it's my bday and Herb has plans so

I have to go in on Wednesday at 10am. Also, he wants me to increase the

Mexitil to 3X a day. If my other " problem " gets worse (how much worse can

it get????) call before Wednesday. Well, tomorrow is Friday and then they

aren't in the office over the weekend but of course they don't consider

that. Right now I'm a little peeved needless to say. I am very

uncomfortable here and my tummy hurts. Herb wants me to find a new doctor

but I don't even know where to look.

Not sure if I'll make chat or not. I'll try and we can chat then.

Hi,

Excuse me for butting in here (?) but I have

found natural Senna to be a very good laxative.

It can be bought in pill form or Traditional

Medicinals makes a tea of it called Smooth

Move, no lie! I try to eat dried fruits and other

roughage and drink alot of water, as my pain

med can cause that also.

Good luck,

Judy

Hello Tracey

Do you have Kiwi fruit for sale in shops near you? My father was

diabetic and for some reason suffered from constipation. Mother fixed

him by giving home two [washed] the sliced kiwi fruit still with the

skins on. Sliced thinly the skins are not noticed, but between the skins

and the internal seeds it is a sure fire fixit apparently. My Mother

reckoned there was success with prunes but more with Kiwi fruit. It is a

well known constipation solver here in New Zealand, I know of a number

of other people who swear by it as well.

Good luck, I imagine it is uncomfortable. Due to adhesions, I am quite

the opposite unfortunately.

Regards

Margot

Margot,

Yes, I believe we do have Kiwi for sale here. I had it once a couple of

years ago. I'm rather a picky eater and really don't eat veggies and just

a bit of fruit. I'll give it a try though. Thanks!

Okay, here's my cure for constipation. A handful of WOW potato chips a day.

The synthetic fat keeps you from clogging up but don't overdo or you might be

on the opposite end.

Ahh, therein may lay a good basis of your problem then. You must injest

adequate fibre to facilitate easy voiding. Fibre is found in various

things but both fruit and vegs have large fibre content normally.

1 or 2 kiwi fruit a day would certainly facilitate easy voiding. What

price fussy when it equates the terrible effects of constipation. Try it

for a week! If you do not want to eat then on their own chop them add to

yoghurt or breakfast cereal or wizz them up in a food processor with

some orange juice or apple juice and drink them, well maybe you would

have to spoon them. What about a smoothie?
