Guest guest
I think that would be useful to many of us. If there are sufficient members of the group in this area who are interested in seeing Dr.Theodora I can arrange a 'surgery' near Harlow, Essex, about half a mile from the M11 motorway. Which might be easier than going to Harley Street. Lilian re the diet and would be very interested to learn more so an insight into the type of menus would be most welcome. Guest guest
How about the rest of the country? Midlands would be a good location, central to all? Of course i realise this would need enough patients to make it viable for Dr T. Chris

There are many people like me who are on Incapacity Benefit and have been for some time, all my savings are long gone and I live hand to mouth. Guest guest
Hi Glynis, Theodora charges £140 for an hours consultation, follow up consultations depend on the particular problem.  This is very reasonable. Dr Peatfield has had to put up his costs from 1st January to £150 from £140 for new consultations and follow ups from £60 to £70. Luv - Sheila But how much would this cost? Guest guest
Yes, she is a private GP so any prescriptions would be private one's. However, your GP can refer you to her for a second opinion, and hopefully, if Dr Mantzourani prescribes any medication for you, your GP will take this on board and prescribe it within the NHS. Guest guest
Sue - Thank your friend for providing this amazing article. Based on the research/evidence the implications are clear. MSG and Aspartame are toxic poisons to the human body! This is eye-opening for anyone unaware of the dangers of these ingredients. Thank you! Guest guest
In honor of 's new adventure into a healthier diet I thought I would send some research everyone's way. This was a study done about pain and diet. What they found out was " a vegeterian diet was poor option in the treatment of fibromyalgia." Bangladesh Med Res Counc Bull. 2000 Aug;26(2):41-7. Vegetarian diet in the treatment of fibromyalgia. Azad KA, Alam MN, Haq SA, Nahar S, Chowdhury MA, Ali SM, Ullah AK. Deptt. of Medicine, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka. Brain tryptophan is low in fibromyalgia. Intake of protein rich in large neutral amino acids is reported to lower brain tryptophan. This study was undertaken to assess whether any reduction of such proteins by exclusion of animal protein from the diet reduced pain and morbidity in fibromyalgia patients. It was an open, randomized controlled trial. 37 subjects with fibromyalgia were enrolled in the vegetarian diet and 41 in the amitriptyline groups. The outcome was assessed with the help of frequencies of fatigue, insomnia & non-restorative sleep, pain score on a 10-point VAS and tender point count. Fatigue, insomnia and non-restorative sleep were present in 41, 26 and 32 subjects before and in 3, 0 and 0 subjects respectively at six weeks of treatment in the amitriptyline group. The pain score and tender point count were 6.2 +/- 1.9 & 16.1 +/- 2.3 before and 2.3 +/- 1.3 & 6.4 +/- 3.0 after treatment. All these differences were significant (P < 0.001). In the vegetarian diet group, fatigue, insomnia and non-restorative sleep were present in 36, 24 and 27 subjects before and in 34, 29 and 29 subjects at six weeks of treatment. The pain score and tender point count were 5.7 +/- 1.8 and 15.7 +/- 2.4 before and 5.0 +/- 1.8 & 14.7 +/- 3.6 after treatment. All these differences were insignificant except that in the pain score. The decrease in the pain score, though significant, was much smaller than that in the amitriptyline group. So, it may be concluded that vegetarian diet is a poor option in the treatment of fibromyalgia.

Raw spinach is very hard to digest so it is better to cook it well so it changes color and then add it to your egg drink. > > It seems that my brainfog goes away when I eat about 25 grams of carbs, but I lose energy. Would you stick to the 52 grams of carbs allowance or would you eat 25 grams, and be free from brain fog with NO energy? +++25 carb grams is okay. Also the lymphnodes under my arms, stay swollen, and if I have a cheat, they will break out with a bright red rash. I'm just not sure which approach would be best. I have suffered from brain fog for 16 years. So much so that I thought I had brain damage, and nothing would ever help me. Then I found your website. Thank you, thank you very much. +++No matter what you do you are going to " retrace " all of your past episodes with brain fog and so to try to avoid it or treat it directly isn't going to help. It just takes patience and time. See " Understanding Retracing & Healing Reactions " http://www.arltma.com/RetracingDoc.htm +++It helps most if you closely follow the program (you can have lower carbs of course) and to do things that help your body detoxify without interfering with nutrient levels, since brain fog is caused by detoxification, i.e. Epsom salt baths, dry skin brushing or another mild form of exercise, coffee enemas, and ensuring you have good digestion. All the best, Bee

Guest guest
, I have no answers but cannot wait for folks to reply. We are approaching the two year mark on the diet and have been super strict for the past year. The diet is the hardest part for us and we are so sick of it. I am scared to stop it though because once he tastes what typical people eat, then it will be even harder to go back. I guess I am writing to let you know that you are not alone. Guest guest
The dairy part of the diet would be good for all humans to follow. Research and history has shown about cows milk (pasteurized or not) is not ideal for humans. The low starch makes sense to not feed the fungal issues which most people probably struggle with as well. Hang in there..... > > Hi All, > > Is anyone willing to share some feedback/encouragement regarding Dr. G's diet for our kids? Guest guest
Hi Bee and everyone, Just wanted to ask every time I try to go on the diet eating coconut oil 6 tablespoons and 8 eggs and no sugar. I cant do any of the supplements because my body is extremely sensitive right now. I am very starving on the diet, and major acid reflux in which I hardly ever have. My hair really falls out way more than normal. I know that you mention retracing, but I hardly ever had acid reflux in my life. How do I stop being so hungry, and the major hair loss. Thank you. Sincerely, Martha
Guest guest
Hi Martha, Are you working your way up to taking 6 Tbsp. of coconut oil a day or are you doing it all at once? It should be a gradual build up to 6 Tbsp. Some people take up to 6 months to get up to that level. The program includes the supplements and they will actually support your body in the healing process, so it important to include them. Your hungry will eventually decrease as your body gets used to running on ketosis. In the meantime, it is okay to have a snack of broth with fat in it or an egg to help you feel more satisfied. You should try sauerkraut to help deal with your reflux symptoms. Are you taking Betaine HCl? Most people on this diet have reported that their hair loss slowed after a period of time. Guest guest
Hi Martha. I have been on Bee's diet for 6 months, but have been low-carb generally for the last three years. All through those three years my hair has been falling out. I think it may well have started actually before that - it certainly became very lank and hard to do much with, considering that I used to have very thick curly hair it's quite depressing. The hair loss got very bad not long before starting Bee's diet - it was shedding everywhere. I kept blocking the sink with it and my husband got pretty fed up picking it out of his dinner! Gradually though over the 6 months the loss has slowed thank goodness. It is interesting that as the hair loss has slowed, evidence of detoxing is also abating, so I can only assume that it is detoxing that is causing the hair loss. Bee did say that detoxing is the probable cause. I initially went low-carb three years ago because I had terrible stomach pain and raging D and could hardly eat anything. I realised I was gluten intolerant and dumped that, but all carbs were an issue so I dumped most of those too. Like you, I was pretty hungry for a while but gradually that abated, especially when I lowered my carbs to no more than about 30g per day so that I was in ketosis all the time. I had issues with quite a few foods - meat was hard to digest, I couldn't eat eggs and nuts, but gradually that improved and I have no problems with them now. Carbs are still an issue at the moment though, but even if they weren't I still wouldn't want to eat them in any quantity. I don't eat nuts at the moment because they encourage weight gain which I don't want! I now have Bee's egg drink twice a day with a tablespoon of nutritional yeast in each one and each is made with two eggs. I have one for breakfast and one in the afternoon. Lunchtime I usually have some meat of some kind, or fish, and I have a dinner in the evening, meat or fish again and a portion of green veg and that is all I need. When I was eating carbs I would pick all day. The evenings were the worst, but I just have my dinner now around 6pm and that is it for the night. I have had some acid reflux - more gas really recently and on Bee's suggestion I have been taking some Betaine which has helped a lot. As suggested, perhaps you could try taking sauerkraut instead to see if that helps at all. Start gently with a spoonful and gradually work up to half a cupful. Can you have any lemon juice? What happens when you try to take any salt? Ali. > > > > > > Hi Bee and everyone, > > > > > > Just wanted to ask every time I try to go on the diet eating coconut oil 6 tablespoons and 8 eggs and no sugar. Guest guest
Hello , Wow....I must have somehow overlooked the dosing of the coconut oil; I started out with 6 Tbsp. a day--that must be why I'm having such a hard time with the healing reactions, especially the glands under my armpits. Do you think this is a correct assumption? If so, I guess I need to throttle back on my daily dosage. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
