Guest guest
I've worn glasses since I was 7... contacts from 11 to mid-30s, which is when the PA and the dry eyes kicked in, so it was back to glasses after that. My K and HTN resolved almost immediately after surgery, which was exactly 8 months ago today. Haven't had the K checked lately but I was monitored pretty closely the first couple months after the surgery, and it was steady at 4.5. My BP is nearly always around 118/79, sometimes a little lower. And no meds! My stories are in the files in the left sidebar - I think I have two AVS stories, a Conn's story, and an adrenalectomy story. > my eyes have been watery, blurry and take a long time to adjust from sunlight to inside light. I have an appt with an opthamologist next week. I am pretty sure that this has something to do with PA as these symptoms started at the exact same time as everything else (constipation, palpatations, HTN, etc). I had no other health issues. >
Guest guest
You have said you have sarcoidosis how is it being treated? If no treatment then you will most likey lose some if not most of your eye site as there is going to be a lot of damage to your eyes. > > my eyes have been watery, blurry and take a long time to adjust from > > sunlight to inside light. I have an appt with an opthamologist next > > week. I am pretty sure that this has something to do with PA as > > these symptoms started at the exact same time as everything else > > (constipation, palpatations, HTN, etc). I had no other health issues. > > > > >
Guest guest
I said that 'in just', my doc has blamed everything on Sarcoid, when my BP and K+ became stable, my eyes got better. I never even mentioned it to my doc cause his only solution is that scary diabetes causing, obesity causing, hump back neck causing ,moon face causing drug called prednisone. Guest guest
I believe from your past postings that you have some doubt about having Sarcoid. The only way to be 100% sure is a biopsy of the affected organ. Most Dr that deal with Sarcoid will say they are 90% sure you have it without doing a biopsy. You should see someone that will do proper work up for Sarcoid. If you have it then you can deside on treatment. If you don't then it will be ruled out as the cause of SX. If you were close to Dartmouth I could give you the names of the Drs that have treated my brother. Most of the time Sarcoid will go into remission without treatment. When treatment is needed prednisone is what most are given. The thinking the side effects are better then untreated sarcoid. It is not the only treatment used. Not that side effects are better then prednisone but most have less then prednisone. > > > > my eyes have been watery, blurry and take a long time to adjust from > > > > sunlight to inside light. I have an appt with an opthamologist next > > > > week. I am pretty sure that this has something to do with PA as > > > > these symptoms started at the exact same time as everything else > > > > (constipation, palpatations, HTN, etc). I had no other health issues. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Phyllis, is this comment " in just " also because if not you just described Cushing's Syndrome! Have you had your Cortisol checked? > > > > my eyes have been watery, blurry and take a long time to adjust from > > > > sunlight to inside light. I have an appt with an opthamologist next > > > > week. I am pretty sure that this has something to do with PA as > > > > these symptoms started at the exact same time as everything else > > > > (constipation, palpatations, HTN, etc). I had no other health issues. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
What she says is she doesn't want to take prednisone as it has all the cushings side effects. > > > > > my eyes have been watery, blurry and take a long time to adjust from > > > > > sunlight to inside light. I have an appt with an opthamologist next > > > > > week. I am pretty sure that this has something to do with PA as > > > > > these symptoms started at the exact same time as everything else > > > > > (constipation, palpatations, HTN, etc). I had no other health issues. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I understand what she is saying but if she has PA and any of those symptoms she should get her cortisol checked. Subclinical Cushing's often show no symptoms but prednisone might cause them to start to show. > > > > > > my eyes have been watery, blurry and take a long time to adjust from > > > > > > sunlight to inside light. I have an appt with an opthamologist next > > > > > > week. I am pretty sure that this has something to do with PA as > > > > > > these symptoms started at the exact same time as everything else > > > > > > (constipation, palpatations, HTN, etc). I had no other health issues. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
