Guest guest
sarah I had hoped someone with more recent experience would answer but here goes and not sure it will actually help you. My brain is fuzzy on the details of this since it's been a while since we tested. I do recall that on some testing I am almost positive we had to stop things... I recall it since I forgot to do so and had to reschedule the blood draw once I checked on the am it as to be done. I'd call and check in the AM if I were you or email. I do know we did about 48 hours of no supplements before some blood draws but I don't think it was all of them. Good luck in figuring it out and hope you can go ahead as scheduled. Best, > > I was planning on taking my daughter in tomorrow am to get some labs including an RBC elements test. I was filling out the paper work and noticed it said to stop supplements including minerals for 72 hours prior to the draw unless specified otherwise by the doctor. Does anyone know if we are supposed to continue with supplements or stop the minerals prior to the draw? I don't want to put it off because I won't have time to take her until next week, but I also don't want to spend money on a test if it won't be accurate. Thanks in advance for any answers. > > > > --------------------------------- > Blab-away for as little as 1¢/min. Make PC-to-Phone Calls using Yahoo! Guest guest
, We are getting ready to take the exact same test. Our DAN said to stop all the minerals for 3 days prior to get a good baseline of where we are. Since we are doing some other tests at the same time, we have had to stop everything but fish oils and probiotics. What needs to be stopped and for how long may be very individualized, depending on the child and what the doctor is looking for. Good luck! > > I was planning on taking my daughter in tomorrow am to get some labs including an RBC elements test.
