Guest guest
Hello, firstly a huge thank you to everybody who responded to my last post on breast cancer. It helped a lot, so thank you again. I now have a query about fertility and IVF treatment. A 34 year old patient with endometriosis, who went through a cycle of IVF (she thinks she took clomid) this time last year, resulting with a miscarriage after 6 weeks. She has gone back for further tests and has been told that she has a very low Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH)level and high FSH. They are therefore recommending IVF with maximum dose of clomid (she thinks that was the drug mentioned), while also predicting a very low success rate! Does anybody have any experience with how reliable the AMH testing is? It's supposed to be more reliable than FSH levels, but in this patient what I don't understand is why she didn't have a high FSH level and low AMH this time last year? I know that fertility treatment can lead to early menopause, could that be part of the picture here? And if it is, what's the significance for herbal treatment? So far I've treated her constitutionally, weak pulse, tongue darker hue in middle, red dots and red sides, cold hands and feet etc. That's what I remember at the moment. All help greatly appreciated.
