Guest guest
I am so sensitive to noises from my neighbours above me that I am considering looking for a new condo, even though I love my location. Has anyone tried hypnosis and if so, what were the results?
Guest guest
I was wondering about this too. I can't say that I believe hypnosis even works, but I am willing to try almost anything! Guest guest
I spent a lot of money on hypnotherapy and it did not help me at all. However, we only have one hypnotherapist where I live so perhaps a different therapist could have helped me?? (I mean, some massage therapists work magic on my muscles and others don't... If that even makes sense.). Basically what she did with me was a lot of visualization, relaxation, and seeing what experiences popped up in the past. These treatments didn't help with the noise sensitivities though I am sure hypnotherapy could help some people in some ways, so I wouldn't count it out completely. I don't think it will be a solution but rather it can offer strategies to deal with the noises as they happen. Guest guest
I was interested in trying something along these lines, but my coworker tried hypnosis to stop smoking and didn't have very good results. It only lasted about a day and a half, I'm not willing to put out the money on something that may not even work for an extended period. Guest guest
For heaven's sake man, soundproof it. No matter where you go, if you are noise sensitive, you'll probably wind up soundproofing anyway. If it's a good neighborhood, don't move. Give me some details about how the ceiling is constructed, and I'll tell you how to soundproof it. > > I am so sensitive to noises from my neighbours above me that I am considering looking for a new condo, even though I love my location. Guest guest
I know how you feel. If you can I say try renting a house. If you do hypnosis go to someone that is an expert in your area. I think one of the reasons amongst others I became hyper aware of noises was when I was growing up I would do self hypnosis to sharpen my visualization and senses. I think I may have done it a little to well with the noise. Now my tolerance level is too low. I am also thinking about going to one for the same issue. Good luck! > > I am so sensitive to noises from my neighbours above me that I am considering looking for a new condo, even though I love my location.
