Hi . Gee, your experience with northinedrone

is discouraging. No, I'm not going

to use Mirena. My DD is on it and

does well, but I don't think I want the continual exposure to synthetic P (or

any P). I'm using 200 mg Prometrium

for nine days/month and seem to be doing pretty well on that. I had a stripe = 13 before I started

monthly P. If I couldn't tolerate

that, I'd consider Mirena.

enough? I'm thinking of using 100 mg. for 10 days. I tried 50 mg.

of natural compounded P in the past, vaginal suppositories and got an

for 10 days/monthly for about three months. I got huge overdose symptoms including

hair loss and weight gain. If

you're trying to shed a stripe, using that much for a few months might be okay. I developed my stripe by using it every

three months for five days. That

obviously was not enough. I think

100 mg for 10 days would result in a HUGE overdose.

by day 10, why not just stop and let it rip? Obviously, you don't need any more. 100 mg is a HUGE dose.

Didn't you try 100 mg of cyclogest one time and get severely

depressed? I agree with everyone else 100 mg is a huge dose! Why not

just try the 50 mg like you are considering and see how that goes for

a wile before you jump to 100 mg?

I haven't used Cyclogest yet. The 100 mg. was a compounded

progesterone. I'll stay with the 50 for 10 days and see what

went to their website and they said it is out of stock? If not is

there anything comparable available by Rx from a Dr.?

Have you found a source for Cyclogest? Also, do you use it every 4-5

weeks from when you stop your previous period or, say you use it on

the 20th of January would you use it again on the 20th of the next

month or the 27th, or 4-5 weeks from the end of your last period?

Have you heard of Prochieve (sp ?). Is it comparable to Cyclogest

and i it available here in the USA with an RX?

Crinone is the same as Prochieve except 1/2 the dose. Vliet recommends it. Variability is the problem with

compounded meds.
