Guest guest
I have been suffering from misophonia for years. Basically I get enraged whenever I hear an audible P, C, K or G. in spoken words. P is the worst because it has a " wet " sound to it. Like a little bit of spit comes out of the person's lips when they say words like Pie, Pile, Pine, Alpine, Popular, Pain, Patient, Paint, Positive, etc. If it didn't sound wet, it wouldn't bother me so much. I also don't like the sound of " cuh " like in words like: Car, Card, Carl, Con, Complex, etc. It's basically saliva sounds from a person's mouth when they speak that bother me so much. Anyhow after years of trying to help me, my mom has become convinced that I have Asperger's Syndrome. My 4 year old son is also showing signs of having Asperger's Syndrome as well as mild Autism. I don't know if he has any hearing sensitivities, although he gets upset if I (or anyone around him) start laughing. I know I should post here more often, and I'll try to do so in the future.
