M & M's???

M Ms? Mmm... BJs or Costco's size bags?My downfall... I've somehow become more of a deck potato, lately. I've been spending too much time listening to Margaritaville radio and enjoying my fair share of nice cigars with a brew or two. Friends have told my wife that Jimmy Buffet is "Rafe" for adults. Is that so bad??? :) I wonder if I can, maybe, put my smith machine and 1/2 cage on my deck for added motivation. :) On the goals list, for next year, I told my older son (27 YO) that I would ride with him on the Tour de'Shore next summer. That's a ~70 mile bike race from Philly to Atlantic City. So, I do need to get this old bag a bones back into great cardio condition by next June.Five years ago, I would have said, let's ride there and back. Now, I'm hoping I can make it alive. :) So, that's One of my (near) mid term goals. BTW, This is the same son that I was able to sprint past in a 2-3 mile run, just a few years back. Oh the joys of aging (not so) gracefully. :) In the meantime, I'm struggling through a 3 mile power walk with my 13 YO son, so, I have lots of work, yet, ahead. But, we'll see how this all works out. Wish me luck. I'll be sure to keep you all up to date on my progress. LOL Z Re: shoulder issue ,It is great to hear from you and you have made progress! We all have these forces working against us whether it be mental struggles or physical. The desire to keep moving forward even if we are moving back at times is good. My main struggle is every so often I get a bag of peanut butter M & Ms and treat them like one serving. Also, staying motivated recently has also been a struggle. For 7 years I have enjoyed running, but have recently realized that it has become a little too consuming for me. I still want running and even ultras as a part of my life, but I need to cut back and have down time too.Andy> >> >> >> > Last August I did something to my left> > shoulder going down a water slide and it has> > been a slight problem ever since.
