Guest guest
Can you tell me how to email to 20/20? My daughter has misophonia, I would like to volunteer for her to be interviewed. > > I emailed one of the 20/20 producers yesterday. She said that they will be taping in April with a May airing. I am sure there will be some adults there and Dr. . > I was looking forward to meeting some of you who are going to be on the show but probably won't now. > Anyone been contacted about being taped for the show? > > Mike >
Guest guest
Hi Everyone I am so excited about 20/20 tonight. One of my biggest triggers is the silibence in women's voices, so I'll be watching the show using the closed caption feature as I always do when I watch tv. I'll be thinking about all of you and sending you thoughts of hope and kinship. Thanks to all on this board who participated and of course to Dr. , my heroine. Best regards, Elaine > > ý20/20's story on misophonia airs tonight. Many thanks to everyone for their help. FYI there are trigger sounds in the piece, so there will be a " safe " version posted on our website (with trigger sounds muted). Hope that is helpful. >
Guest guest
I am so very excited too! I've told all my 'friends' and family on facebook to watch it. I had a very candid conversation with my mom on the phone today. She asked me if I remember when it first started for me because she had no idea I was going through this until a few years back when I first told her. I asked her if she remembered back when I was 12 and I yelled " Stop smacking " at my dad at the dinner table. She gasped... and said she clearly remembered. She felt bad that none of us knew it was an actual problem with a name. She is going to watch it with my dad, and explain that this is why I was so very mean to him. I love my dad so much... it was hard to harbor such anger at mealtime not understanding why. I feel like I can breathe a little better now. I hope everyone here has something good and positive come to them as a result of this show happening. > > > Hi Everyone > > I am so excited about 20/20 tonight. Guest guest
Great segment on 20/20 tonight! I am sooo happy that mainstream media has finally covered this disorder. It's about fricking time. I know I wrote an article about it about five years ago and have been trying to get it published somewhere. Psychology Today never even replied back. Awakenings Review is printing my poem, but not the story. It's supposed to be out this summer. Fingers crossed everyone! Hopefully this segment on 20/20 will help get some researchers interested. Thanks for everyone who participated and to Marsha !!
Guest guest
This show was definitely an eye-opener for me. I have " complained " for years about my ears...but all tests have come back normal. I've gotten in so much trouble for this condition, but never knew what it was. Wow!...and I am glad to know I am not alone. > > > > > > > > > Hi Everyone > > > > > > I am so excited about 20/20 tonight. Guest guest
Yeah, that was just brutal. I had to turn off the TV. -Tam > > I put a message on their Facebook page that allowing the lady to eat rocks after the story on sound issues was cruel and insensitive!!! > >
