Someone posted this on the 20/20 comments. Has anyone else been on the YAZ pill?

I had a milder form of this, but was a virtual recluse for over 15 years. Then I

was put on the birth control pill Yaz and in 4 days my life changed completely.

All those years no one could do anything and the hormone doc, after listening to

me cry about how noise sensitivity had ruined my life, said " I think I can fix

that. " And she did.

Not saying it woudl work for everyone, but it sure worked for me. Since the

results were noticable right away I'd recommend women give it a try.

I was on Yaz for about 6 months. I have never felt more crazy in my life!! I became 100x more irritable & my emotions were so extreme / drastic. I have had several friends who also had terrible results with Yaz from mood swings to blood clots...Sent from my iPhone

I was on it before my sound issues started, but I would NEVER suggest someone take it just for sound issues.. I had clot issues too (for 40+ days nonstop) and BC is not something to play around with unless you NEED it... I have been on it for 11 years and if I could get by without it, I would absolutely stop taking it.

After numerous individual lawsuits there finally was filed a class action against Yaz for blood clots, strokes, DVT etc. Be careful with that one. http://m.yazlawsuit.com/yaz-lawsuit/yaz-class-action-lawsuitHeidiSent from my iPhone

Yeah.. I'm not on that anymore because of the issues I had with it... but I wouldn't recommend any kind of BC to 'treat' misophonia until/unless there is a lot of research that shows there is a hormonal side to this and BC would be the only way to treat it.. it's definitely not a medicine to play around with and take just because.. I don't even think it's good to take it if there is any other alternative!

I've been on Yaz since January & prior to that for a couple years, and I haven't

noticed any difference in my misophonia levels. In fact, the past few months

have been the worst for me as far as triggers and anxiety.

What hormone levels does your doc think are related to miso?
