Guest guest
Hi My name is and I have felt this way for years and I have been called anal, obsessive and controlling just to name a few. Last night when I saw the report on 20/20 I couldn't believe it, but to some degree they were talking about me! I don't have fits of rage but I do give dirty looks and sometimes I will say something and lately I just try to remove myself at the risk of being called some of the above mentioned names behind my back. There are times though when I can't remove myself, for example when someone walks barefooted through the house and they are what I call " heavy footed " . It drives me crazy! I KNOW I don't sound like a freakin elephant stomping through the house!! And there's the sound of crunching, munching, chewing! Potato chips or tortilla chips or crunching ice are the worst when someone eats them SO LOUD! Eating with your mouth open will usually get ME into trouble because I will almost always say something! I remember one time in a Mexican restaurant some guy was crunching tortilla chips so loud we had to get another table. Somehow nobody else seems to notice these sounds but me. I could write so much more but just talking about this stuff kinda freaks me out a little. Thanks,
Guest guest
Welcome aboard . I think we all can relate to you feeling like you were crazy. I know I did. It's hard to understand why we are like this, especially when much of how we feel goes against all logic. I mean really, why should the sound of a bluejay squawking make me want to punch something. Hah! Anyhow, we are glad you found us. > > Hi My name is and I have felt this way for years and I have been called anal, obsessive and controlling just to name a few. Guest guest
Hi there, and welcome. I hate stompers, too. I'm moving from my apartment early, broke the lease, because the heavy footed hippo above me. It doesn't help that she never seems to sit still, and it always doing laps for some reason, stomping and slamming stuff around. It gives me so much anxiety. > > Hi My name is and I have felt this way for years and I have been called anal, obsessive and controlling just to name a few. Guest guest
When I hear a trigger sound is is like my ears open up and the sound is all I can hear. It distracts me and I have trouble working. I am an administrative assistant and I need to be available to respond to whoever walks up to my desk so it is difficult to wear earplugs or listen to music.I do not like going to work because I am a nervous wreck the entire day, I am happy when I do not see her vehicle in the parking lot because I am more relaxed. It is good to know that I am not crazy. My husband does not understand and he will not read about it or watch the 20/20 program but he walks on egg shells in his own home because I give him dirty looks or I yell at him. Poor guy! Guest guest
My hubby has to walk on egg shells too,but at least now I know why. He was always telling me I was too sensitive and that there should not be any way that his eating chips in front of me could bother me. (In addition to other annoyances ) I am going to show him all the responses that have surfaced now that it was shown on 20/20.Sent from my Verizon Wireless Phone Re: I thought I was CRAZY! Guest guest
I personally did not think that the 20/20 program did not show whatit truly is like. not all of us have such supportive family and friends. i was kicked out of my house when i was 14 because my little sister was eating donuts and it had been a 4 hour car ride with sniffling and smacking and i could not take it anymore after have been arguing with my mother to PLEASE ask my sister to eat with her mouth closed i grabbed the bag and threw it on the floor. it was not right i know but was it really worth my mom saying get your shit and leave my house i dont care where you go or with who just get out.i then moved in with my grandmother for 2 years.i met my fiance a year later and had to move out when i was 17 and to this day my mother still says i cant have a get out of jail free card everytime a trigger (what she calls liz just being liz) ive been in and out of mental hospitals sence i was 10 and seen about every psycoligest and psyciatrest in texas. been on about every medication and combinations they could think of. trust mei wish i had amother so understandingmine just sees me as a (in her own words) psyco spoiled bitch.
