Guest guest
We had a conversation in this group about how misophonia was pronounced. I said that I had always said " miso " like miso soup. Someone gave me a hard time about it (or maybe I was just extra sensitive that day, but it felt like they were saying I was a total idiot). Tonight on 20/20, though, Ripa AND Vargas both pronounced it the same way I have been saying it--miso like the soup, not miso like " miss oh " . I don't know if it is a regional thing and if you guys say miso differently than we do here in South Dakota, but the way it was said on the show was the same way I was told it was NOT pronounced. Just something I found interesting! I know that with accents and whatnot, language can vary from state to state, but I felt a lot better when I found out I was actually saying it the same way these people were. Try as I might (after everyone told me I was wrong), I couldn't train myself to say it the other way. --------------------------------------------------------- ♥ " Hope is more than a word; it's a state of being.
