Guest guest
I had a near panic attack last night. I got out of my lease with my hyperacusis diagnosis, but now I have to move by May 31, and I have to find a new rental ASAP. I just got overwhelmed. Then the upstairs girl got to dropping bricks and stomping around, or whatever she does that is so damn noisy - how can one person make such noises constantly? I mean - really, I don't get it. Does she throw everything she owns or drop it all without a care in the world? I don't make a sound when I walk around, and I certainly don't drop things on the floor. Maybe it's because I have an understanding of what it might sound like to my downstairs neighbor. But I digress... I was having a panic attack. So my friend texted me, and said to get outside. Just go walk around for a while, which I normally don't do. I normally sit there and freak out and cry. So I got up and went outside for a walk. It worked really well - I even met a nice girl on my block with cats in her yard (and I love cats), we and ended up becoming friends and talking for well over an hour. She told me about her boyfriend and I told her about my noise issues. We both come from the same state, and got along really well. So I escaped, just for this time, and it worked. I'm trying not to stress out too hard about finding an apartment. I found my current noise-hell apartment in a day, I know I can find my next one just as fast. Please tell me to stop worrying too hard about it. x
