I plan to use the templates soon and very timely with 20/20 tonight, which I believe will be a milestone for Misophonia. MikeSent from my iPad Hi all, It has been a privilege to work alongside a small group of like-minded people in creating template letters that help describe the condition Misophonia. Presently there are three letters you can download, each targeted towards a particular group. To see the letters please open the following web link http://www.misophonia.info/resources/letters/ 1. Letter For Friends & Family · This letter has been designed to help you express to your friends and/or family how this condition is affecting your life. It can be used as a template or a guideline upon which you can build, expand or change to suit your particular situation. 2. Letter For Doctors · This letter consists of four different hand-outs for health professionals–a traditional letter, a fact sheet, a copy of the recent New York Times article, and the Misophonia Activation Scale. Feel free to use this as a template upon which you can build and discuss with your health care professional. Remember, it is critical to help raise awareness in the medical community. 3. Letter For Research · This letter has been designed in order to raise awareness in the academic research community. This is a template letter in which you will need to add your own experiences tailored towards the research institution that you are contacting. I would like to express my deepest thanks to the following people. Without whom this project would never have been completed, each of you worked exceptionally hard. I am in your debt. Adah Siganoff Heidi Salerno Kessler Lynda Mayers And to those who wish to remain anonymous, my thanks to you as well. We all hope you find these template letters helpful. Projects such as this are only made possible through a shared goal and close teamwork. I am very glad to have been involved with such a great team.
