Janis,

When most of us were on the vulvodynialist, we took a poll about mitral valve

prolapse. I can't remember the exact details, but we found out that many of

us have mitral valve prolapse (including me). You can find out for sure by

having an echocardiogram (I had my test in the cardiologist's office).

Ladies,

This has nothing to do with VV -- I don't think -- but I'm curious if

anyone else here suffers from a consistently rapid heart rate. I'm

wondering if this is part of fibromyalgia, CFS, etc. I know I've suffered

from it for as long as I can remember, but my new doctor is the first one

that's picked up on it. He also believes I have mitral valve prolapse. My

resting pulse is 120.

Anybody have any info they can offer on this?

There has been talk on the list before (or maybe on the *old* list) about

the number of women who have VV and Mitral Valve Prolapse. It seems to

be a common symptom for many. I do have a rapid heart rate (resting is

over 90 most of the time), but have never been diagnosed with MVP.
