Guest guest
Those names would be GREAT. I know you have them and it would be very useful for us to use them. Forming a non profit is easy. We need $ (not so much but some) and about five really sharp people who can form a board of directors who have experience with managing groups or communities or boards, people who have cool-head thinking and skill sets, too, like accounting, legal, business, that kind of thing.....the wilder hot headed types generally make better project managers and volunteers to get things DONE! Does that sound like I have been on boards for about 30 years, well this is true. Boards are quiet slow places of cool thinking and logic, when best functioning, detail oriented and the busy activists can get a bit bored.... Nonetheless very important. It is easy to form a non profit in Oregon, easy to register a name and then proceed with the IRS status. We would need enough funds to open a checking account and establish a business (in vitro) center. That part I am pleased to do and hold the accounts here in Oregon, we have some very good members of the group who live here who could serve as the back up board members to review accounts, etc. to rule out any mischief. Practicalities: identify 4-5 individuals who can represent this large group, schedule a tele conference and start collecting donations.
