Guest guest
Hi, I am new and already so thankful for this site, and the group. I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago and basically given a website by my doctor to look at as an attempt to understand what was happening. Needless to say I have many questions. I've had the condition (now that I know what it is) for the past 2 1/2 months, with symptoms increasingly getting worse. I've got 1 leg that has the telltale painful nodules and discoloration, along with a very tender ankle on that same leg that is completely swollen most of the time. My pain is usually worse in the evenings, and recently has been rendering it impossible to walk during the evenings. Nights are horrible for trying to sleep, but things feel a bit better in the morning, and usually I can walk around well enough to get through a normal work day. I've noticed this pattern even on weekends when I stay off the leg all day. Do other people have an increase in pain in the evenings? I've also had numerous evenings in the last 2 weeks that I have felt feverish and achy. Do other people experience this in the heat of things? I've read that many people have it at the onset. I feel like I'm past the onset, but may be not. Maybe my " onset " is going on for months. I've also had extreme aching in my arms, but no sign of the nodules. The achiness is the area between the elbow and the wrist, and feels like the equivalent of a " shin-splint " in that area on both arms. I haven't done anything that could cause this, so I'm guessing it's related. Has anyone else had this kind of pain? So many questions... I'll save the rest for another time, and keep reading the amazing stock of old messages... Thanks everyone who has already done so much to contribute to this site. You make it much easier for those of us just arriving. This is an amazing oasis. -
