Guest guest
I wanted to pot again about how my first EN experience is evolving. I am constantly amazed at how it just keeps regenerating on and on. I think its starting to dissipate and then new ones appear. The first site of outbreak, just below my left knee, is still the epicenter. It started as a large lump, as if I had been kicked hard. The general lump has flattened but the surrounding bruise effect is still there and it is still quite tender to the touch. I found some natural soaps in my hoard of things(I like handmade soaps but rarely use them). One caught my eye, Honey Soap. I bought it on a trip to ton in Nov. I firmly believe in the healing properties of honey, and thought what the heck, and started using the honey soap in my daily bathing. It could absolutely be a coincidence, but the new nodules have not gotten bigger and seem to hurt less. The new ones are multiplying more on my thighs now, not so many new ones on the lower legs. The edema has been much less now too, not gone just less, on the left leg which was chronically quite puffy. I am getting a tiny bit of swelling on the right leg now, but nothing like the left has been experiencing. I was excited for this little victory and yesterday the lower leg nodules started hurting a little more again. *sigh Im just waiting for a sign of this thing receding. It feels as if it will just contantly be. Its not the worst affliction in the world, but not knowing my personal pattern with this yet, Im nervous about how bad it will get and how long it will last. Also still no word from lab tests yet. The Derm did many blood tests and I havent gotten results back yet for things like lupus and liver/kidney stuff among others. I do know that RA and Strep were neg. SO, not a whole lot new, just the same old thing recycled it seems. How long do your outbreaks last? Guest guest
Hi , It's awful having the outbreaks but there is hope as they do go away for periods of time. Mine usually last about a month but the severe symptoms are about a fortnight, it does seem to vary a lot from person to person . I think the best thing is to enjoy the times when you don't have an outbreak, I know how you feel it really knocks you for six when you are in the middle of one. For me it has been most difficult to accept that it will always come and go, though I must say I had an extended period of four months without any EN troubles which was lovely! I wish you good healingWe are lucky to have this site, its nice to share with others stay strong!
