Guest guest
I've been reading one of those books that keeps making me go 'wow' and that I wish more books were written like it, so I thought I'd share it! Called Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin. She wrote Spiritual Midwifery in the 70s and this is an up to date guide for people interested in birthing naturally. First half is all case histories and then she goes into her own philosophies and how they arose and how she believes birth can and does work. It's an absolutely amazing book and I would recommend it to anyone who is about to give birth and would like more info (good one to recommend to patients or even to read if you treat pregnant women). There seems to be loads of information in it that is not necessarily known/has been forgotten in conventional medicine because they don't tend to go for natural births with no medication generally. Anyway - just had to share that! Schia -- Schia MNIMH MIMHO Medical Herbalist Cambridge www.cambridgeherbalist.org.uk
