For those of you who cannot get the vest the acapella is wonderful.

You can really get the mucus up with it. I got my acapella from the

hospital but I'm sure you can buy it. Look on the internet. I have the

vest and it is great but I'm sure the acapella does a very good job. I

have written a few times before and explained that the doctors found a

bug called Nocardia and put me on Sulfatrim which I have been taking

for about 10 months. Since then I've been perfect. No more trouble

with the bronchiectas which had put me in hospital 4 times with

pneumonia and constant infections each and every month with enormous

amounts of mucus. Maybe you could find a bug you have that you could

try to cure. It seems with bronchiectasis comes all sorts of problems.

Anyway, I have my fingers crossed and dont know what the future brings

but these 10 months have been wonderful and my husband says its a

miracle. Anyway get an acapella if you cant get the vest. Someone

wrote that they would like to hear from the older people and how they

are doing. I am 82. I have had bronchiectasis for about 10 years - at

least that is when it was diagnosed, but for years and years before

that,I thought I had allery. JuneK
